Basic course in pipe and leak detection

1-day course. The course is held at our DWI Leak Academy test track at DTU Science Park in Hørsholm and alternates between theory and practice. We cover, among other things:

Theory:

• Methods for coarse and fine localization of leaks
• Instruments and connectivity options
• Leakage noise loggers
• AI machine learning modules
• Instruments for locating trace gas
• Correlator for precise leak location
• Emergency plans introduction

Practice:

• Wire search on plastic – cast iron – PE
• Precise location of leaks with:
  • Hand listener
  • Correlator
  • Use of tracer gas
  • Leakage noise loggers

Practical information:

Since part of the course takes place outdoors, we recommend that you bring appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather conditions.
